I am organising a family photograph album and have reached a batch of portraits with distinctly music inspired hairstyles. A relative remembers copying a singer’s look, but nobody agrees on which photograph served as the original reference. My aim is a careful description of the fringe and length, without turning a family recollection into a definite identification. For this comparison, I am using avril lavigne hairstyles as a reference. The fringe looks quite different across the portraits, especially where a longer section falls towards one side. My comparison separates colour from the haircut, since a similar shade can make two different shapes look deceptively alike. We can ask the relative about styling later, but for now the captions need to stay close to what is visible. Can anyone suggest clear descriptive terms for the fringe and side sections that would work in a family album caption? |
